Classes
Short Course-Bird Identification 101 Class:
This course is intended for those individuals who want a basic introduction to approaches to understanding the identification of bird species.
Recommended supplies: Binoculars (8-10 power), notepad, and the newest expanded, revised edition of A Guide to Field Identification Birds of North America written by Chandler S. Robbins, Bertel Bruun, and Herbert S. Zim and illustrated by Arthur Singer.

Bird Identification 101 Class:
This course is designed for those individuals with no prior formal training or classes in bird identification but have a strong interest in learning. This course is made up of 12 classes and 6 full day field trips.

Advanced Bird Identification Class:
This course is meant to build on Birding 101 Classes and involves more in depth and additional information on bird identification. They feature bird identification within a world of an ecological approach to understanding our environment. This course is designed for field identification and not for understanding taxonomy or anatomy of bird species. It is designed for individuals to learn to enjoy and identify birds in the field with skill and speed. This course is made up of 11 classes and 6 full day field trips.

101
Class:
This
course
is
designed
to
appreciate
the
annual
celebration
of
spring
and
emphasize
on
a
variety
of
native
wildflowers
in
the
Coastal
Bend.
It
is
an
introduction
to
identification
of
wildflowers.
Recommended supplies: Mini-press and/or camera (digital preferred), notepad, and a book that reflects wildflowers in Texas.
