Join us for a hands-on coastal restoration event at Kate’s Hole on Mustang Island, held in partnership the Harte Research Institute’s Sink Your Shucks program and the Coastal Conservation and Restoration Lab.

Volunteers will help build a living shoreline by filling biodegradable bags with oyster shell and placing them along the shoreline. These bagged shells create oyster reef habitat while helping stabilize and protect the shoreline.

The first 100 volunteers to check in on Saturday, June 6 will snag a special giveaway from Poncho Outdoors!

Important: Parking at Kate’s Hole is limited. All volunteers must check in at Packery Boat Ramp Parking Lot, where shuttle transportation will be provided to and from the worksite.  Click here to view location on Google Maps.

Join us for our Summer Packery Flats Cleanup and help keep one of our most treasured coastal habitats healthy and debris free. Volunteers will work together to remove litter and debris, protect wildlife, and restore the natural beauty of the flats. It’s a great way to give back, get outside, meet conservation-minded community members, and make a real impact one piece of trash at a time.
